26 - If I Had One Million $ to Spend....

I am sorry. I realize that I missed a day yesterday. Actually, I didn't miss it. I made the blog post for yesterday, but for some reason it did not post. Thank goodness it was saved to the drafts though!
Anyway, so you get two blog posts in one day!
Day 26: If you had one million dollars to spend, how would you spend it?
First question.... ONLY ONE MILLION??? That's it?? Sheesh...cheap skate!
Okay, just kidding.
Actually, I would want to buy a nice hunk of land and put a nice house on it (nothing pricey though).
I think I would like to go into organic farming/ranching....so I would probably get a couple of green houses, and invest into cattle. I don't think I would like the milk business, so I would probably get beef cattle. Angus is the typical breed of cows that most people would get for meat, but I hate Angus. Especially in Oklahoma. They don't hold their weight, they are needy, ornery critters that cost more money than they make.
No Angus. Something nice, like Hereford. That is the type that cowboys started out with here in Oklahoma. I think there was a reason for that: Less money into them, more money out of them.

If I did go into milk business  I would go with the Jersey cows. I don't like the black and white Holstiens all that much...and anyone who is in the milk business has Holstiens. I want to do something different.
Besides, Holstiens don't make as much cream in their milk. Jerseys make a lot of cream in their milk. Butter and Ice cream come from cream, so I can see my Jersey cows making a lot of money just from their cream! I have heard that they also make good meat.

However, what I would really want to do, though it's probably not a good investment, is forget cattle all together and get Buffalo Bison.....and Yack.
Buffalo because, really, how many Buffalo do you see around? And on top of that, Buffalo meat sells REALLY WELL.
And Yack because......well, I really like Yack. Their so cute and friendly and short. I've done some research on them: they are very adaptable and their meat taste like Buffalo. You can also do something with their hair.....eck....so on top of making me happy, they might even make money.
I might add goats to the equation....like Pigmy, Black Mesa, Lamancha and MAYBE Angora. But there is that hair thing again. Me and hair....have issues.

So far, Pigmy and Lamancha goats are my favorites. Pigmy are short and little, and Lamancha are sweeties....and they have no ears.
Yeah...anyway. I don't have a Million dollars so.... heavy sigh.
Wait........am I just WEIRD to want to spend a million dollars on smelly farm animals? What would most girls spend their money on??

Okay, there is one more thing that I would want to spend a million dollars on:
