Write A Setting

Write a setting based on the most beautiful place you've ever seen.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The trees were tall and straight, their branches high above the ground were gnarled and long, and their small, palm like leaves let off a strange, somewhat pungent, odor. Their bark was papery and ivory in color, and the hollow holes at the bottoms of a few trunks showed that their wood was weak and soft. But they were magical. You could tell. They seemed to whisper and listen, observing those who walked around them, offering a mystical welcome to any kind stranger who walked among them.
Another smell began to fill the air further up the hill that the trees grew on: a sweet smell. Near the top of the giant hill, a white light began to glow beyond the edge of the forest. Once out of the strange forest of trees, a field of purple and white flowers on tall, dark green stems stretched out in every direction.
The sweet smell of the flowers would have brought a smile to anyone’s face. Each tea cup size blossom glowed with light, and on the inside of each, a golden colored cross glimmered and glistened. The flowers seemed to dance as the two little newcomers looked upon them, even though there was no wind.
Everything was warm and inviting. Nothing cold or menacing stood in this land, and everything that did stand in it seemed to stare at the two newcomers with a smile of awe, welcoming them gladly into its embrace with warmness of heart
The two little girls, the newcomers, stared with wide eyes at the field of flowers, the enchanting forest at their backs, and another world stretching out before their eyes.
They exchanged glances and looked back at the forest before looking at each other again “It’s like, they’re welcoming us.” One girl said softly, awe clearly ringing in her voice.
The other little girl nodded “I never thought I would say this, but…” she paused and didn’t finish, so the other girl finished the sentence for her with a smile “But it’s magical.” They both nodded then looked at the rolling hills and land that stretched out before them, past the field of flowers. Sighing peacefully, they clasped hands then both strode through the field of glowing flowers toward the lands beyond.
