My Favorite Toy

Yes, I do have a favorite toy at age 21. Actually, the plural word 'Toys' would be more accurate.
My first favorite is Zoey, aka Colleen. She is a Lee Middleton doll. I got her for my 17th or 18th birthday. I can't remember which. My mom is thinking 17...I think 18, possibly 19. She'll check in a moment and we will find out who is right!
Anyway, here is a picture of Zoey Colleen (her factory name is Zoey, but I liked the name Colleen, so I call her both names)
Isn't she just adorable?! I had found her on the internet and just fell in love with her. When my mom asked me that year what I wanted for my birthday I told her "A car, a horse, or that Lee Middleton baby doll I really like."
Needless to say, that made it an easy choice for her.
So I got Zoey Colleen for my birthday, and I have stayed in love with her ever since.
She has the ability to suck on her thumb, but she prefers a real baby binky. She spits her thumb out all the time. Only on rare occasions does she suck her thumb, and most of those are during thunderstorms

My second favorite toy is a great big lion. I got him for my 8th or 9th birthday. His name is Aslan (surprised?). He has always been there for me through thick and thin. Actually, I can't call him my second favorite toy because he ranks up there with Colleen. I'm not sure how I would have survived life without him. (Just a figure of speech, but you get the point)
I had no clue that I was going to get him. He was going to be the biggest surprise I had ever gotten... until Kris spilled the beans about him a few days before my birthday. She had helped wrap him in a great big yellow sack with polka dots, and she was so ultra excited about him. That was when I first fell in love with him. The days leading up to my birthday, I would sneak into my parents room where the sack was at and I would 'talk' to him.
The day of my birthday came, and I was so excited. When I finally got to open the sack, I was glad that Kris had spilled the beans: I had never imagined how majestic, how beautiful, how wonderfully gorgeous he was going to be until I pulled him out of the sack. I was floored by how realistic he was. Seriously! People to this day still jump to the ceiling when they see him laying across my bed! Kris still jumps.....I still jump.
He is just a pretty awesome lion, and the birthday surprise was not ruined when Kris told me about him. I'm glad she told me about him.

Now, my second/third favorite 'toy' is actually more of a collector's item: Bruki, my shoulder dragon.
My mother found this adorable little place on the internet called "The Dragons Toy Box". Unfortunately the lady is no longer building these adorable little guys. I wish she was, because I would have liked to buy a lady friend for Bruki (yes, he is a boy).
He is posable, with lifelike green-blue eyes, and soft, royal blue skin.
He does sit on my shoulder! He wraps his long tail around my neck and entwines his paw in my hair while balancing himself with a wing against my head. Sometimes, when he thinks I am moving too quickly, he flutters his wings and smacks my head. He also sometimes nibbles at my ear when he is annoyed, or wanting attention.
Sometimes he will lunge at people and squawk if he thinks they are getting too close to me, but he is not mean. His is actually a fun loving, ornery little rascal!
Children love him, and he likes them too....as long as they are giving him attention without man handling him.
