In a 2004 Zogby International poll, 61% of Americans said abortion should not be permitted after the fetal heartbeat has begun. This occurs in the first month! A fetal heart begins to beat at about 21 or 22 days after fertilization. 77% of abortions in the United States are done well after this point.
"I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion is already born." - Ronald Reagan
"He who denies that human life begins with conception does not need to contend with religion, but science. To deny this certainty of biology is not to express a lack of faith, but a lack of basic knowledge of human genetics, something that is even known by the general public." - Ecuadorian Federation of Societies of Gynecology and Obstetrics
"It is poverty that a "child must die", so that you may live as you wish..." - Mother Teresa
"What an irony that a society confronted with plastic bags filled with the remains of aborted babies should be more concerned about the problem of recycling the plastic..." - Winifred Egan
"There are two victims in every abortion: a dead baby and a dead conscience." Mother Teresa
"Is it surprising that today we have become so morally blind (for wickedness blinds) that we save the baby whales at great cost, and murder millions of unborn children?" - Alice Von Hildebrand, The Privilege of Being a Woman, p.24

"Dear Mommy, I heard you talking to the doctor today. He is wrong. I am a baby. Love, Your Baby." - Unborn child facing execution
"No woman wants an abortion as she wants an ice cream cone or a porsche. She wants an abortion as an animal caught in a trap wants to gnaw off its own leg. Abortion is a tragic attempt to escape a desperate situation by an act of violence and self loss. Abortion is not a sign that women are free, but a sign that they are desperate." - Frederica Mathewes-Green
Rape is unfortunate. But must the poor baby, whom is trusting its mother to keep it safe, pay the consequences of someone else's wrong??

Abortion is a legal option, but so is Adoption. Keeping the child, and raising it to become the best it can be, is also an option. From "Party Girl" to "I'm Pregnant"
"Each child is sent into this world by God with a "Unique Message" to deliver, a new personal act of love to bestow"... - John Powell, S.J., Professor of Theology
Day 1: The fertilised egg is called a Zygote. The original cell divides in two (process called Mitosis), and then continues to replicate, with each new cell containing the same amount of DNA as the first. It is about the size of a pinhead. If the Zygote splits during this point, identical twins develop. The ratio of this happening is 1:80.
Day 5 till 9: High progesterone levels trigger lots of blood vessels to grow in the uterus’ lining. The blastocyst floats inside the uterus, with Mitosis continuing until the cells have reached several hundred cells. At day 9 the blastocyst attaches itself to the uterus lining. 40% blastocysts fail to implant and get washed away during the next menstruation.
Day 10 till 14: The blastocyst becomes firmly implanted in the uterus lining. If the embryo splits later than 13 days, it will form Siamese twins.
Weeks 3 and 4: The blastocyst separates into two parts: one part becomes the embryo and the other part becomes the placenta, which takes nutrients from the mother (via the uterus wall) to feed the growing embryo. The nervous system and heart start to develop. The embryo forms three layers that will turn into the different parts of your baby's body. The endoderm, or inner layer, will become your baby's intestines, liver and lungs. The middle layer, or mesoderm, will become your baby's heart, sex organs, muscles, bones, and kidneys, and the ectoderm, or outermost layer, will develop into your baby's hair, skin, eyes, and nervous system.
Week 5: Head becomes distinct from the rest of the body and the eyes and ears start to develop. Liver and kidneys start to develop and the bones and muscles begin to form.
Week 6: Tiny brain developing and heart has started beating independently of the mother. Bloodstream is developing. Buds are forming that will grow into legs and arms. Digestive tract, abdominal and chest cavities and backbone starts forming
Week 7: Nostrils develop, beginning of hands and feet. Heart has formed two chambers, which beat at 150 bpm.
Week 8: Bone cells begin to harden and lengthen and the joints form. Facial features develop.
Week 9: Appearance more like baby. Uterus has doubled in size. Fingers and toes almost complete.
Week 10: Embryo is termed a Foetus. Genitals start to develop
Week 11: Iris’ grow, hair and nails begin to appear. Can yawn, suck or swallow.
Week 12 till 13: Appears fully formed. Neck supports head mo

vements and the eyes and ears are moving into normal positions. Evidence suggests that the foetus can detect sensory information.
Weeks 14 till 17: The baby's internal organs mature, the nervous system begins to function, and the baby learns to bend and twist the fingers. By week 15 the eyebrows have started to develop and at week 16, the arms and legs are complete and the muscles are responding to signals from the brain. Can now discover baby’s gender.

Week 18 till 22: Brain and senses are developing. Should be able to hear and recognise mother’s voice. Taste buds have formed and may start to suck thumb.
Weeks 23 till 27: Lungs are developing and spine is getting stronger. The bones of the inner ear have hardened and hearing has improved sufficiently for the foetus to distinguish voices. It can now hold its feet and curl its hands, the eyes are completely formed, and by week 26 the eyelids can open.
Weeks 28 till 31: Foetus’ pupils are equal and reactive and senses are fully developed to light, sound, smell and taste. Starts to put on weight.
Weeks 32 till 36: Organs are maturing and immune system is developing.
Weeks 37 till 40: Ready for Birth.

Here are some VERY GOOD testimonies and interviews from many different people who have been through or come from a rape or abortion: http://loveundefiled.blogspot.com/2012/03/abortion-testimonies.html
