I had planned to post about something else today, but that plan got foiled. So then I wasn't going to post at all. But then I came across this video. I have the song on CD and I simply love it, but I hadn't ever seen the video. Such a big voice for such a little girl.... such a bitter sweet song. Why are all the very beautiful songs about love? What is it about love, even broken love, that makes us humans create such beautiful songs? Why do we want to sing about it or write poems about it?
The lyrics of this song remind me of a poem that I once wrote....two poems actually. One I have shared here on the blog: Across Loves Skies.... the other I haven't shared. In fact, I ripped up the paper that it was on....but it is burned into my mind. It's weird actually: I thought I would forget it after I ripped up the paper, because I really wanted too. It had too much of my heart written into that poem. But it seemed like the minute I ripped the paper up, the poem engraved itself into my mind, forever to stay; every word, every line, every emotion.
Ugh....I am getting way too melancholy. I think sitting in the house for a week straight has done something to my brain....
Enjoy the video...
