Praise for The Dragon's Son

For those of you who might not understand, I have been writing a book (for like, forever), and I have finally submitted it to some publishers, but where it has gotten the most notice is in the Authonomy site: a place where many talented writers upload their books for talent spotters to find them. It has gotten all positive reveiws so far! I am posting the best of them. FYI, I have not posted all of my book on there....yet. Just in case you were getting worried. But I am posting the chapters that I have thoroughly edited (like totally, completly, scrubbed, rubbed, scrutinized, sanitize, and thoroughly edited), and there is enough up there to read and get a feel for it. Only people that have subscribed to the site can read books on it. Subscriptions are free, and it is very well protected. You can read thousands of other great books from all different genres on it too! And you can also become a talent spotter with some work and alot of reading!

Praise for The Dragon's Son

The Dragon's Son is a fantasy lover's dream! Keegan's adventure is beyond anything I could have imagined...I love your exquisite descriptions of Keegan's surroundings and actions. This is a thrilling and riveting tale crafted in a professional style. Rated with six stars! ~ Walden Carrington (Titanic: Rose Dawson's Story)

….I truly enjoyed reading this and I hope that any further editing will bring more of the same level of writing standard. You drew the reader in with no problem and you made it easy to connect with the characters which is very important to get the full impact of what is happening in the story. I honestly thought Bowen was about to meet his end on the balcony! Keep going with this! Well done. ~ Lesley-Ann (Ezeldren Spirit of Ezereth)

Clear and concise plot, full of imagery and convincing character; make your book a fresh idea in this site. I have read your work and found it interesting and entertaining! Best of luck! ~ Fletcher Kovich (Stories from a Leaking Mind)

Synopsis of The Dragon's Son

Keegan refuses to believe that he is part of prophecy. When a sorceress sets things into motion that cannot be undone, Keegan's world collapses.

His family was ripped from him, his home destroyed, and all that he loved taken away from him in a single day. It changed his life, but only when he met the dragon was the change complete, as prophecy declared it would.

Keegan is filled with hate, and resentment. He denies that he is important, or is meant to do something great, yet he searches for fulfillment in his life, and to fill an emptiness in his heart and soul.

A princess that's thrust into his life only complicates matters, but when an evil sorceress starts to hunt him, everything he knows in life changes again. Suddenly his friends and family are in danger of suffering a terrible fate. His own life is at risk as he must learn to battle strange creatures of darkness, but more importantly, his mentor, a great dragon, is in mortal danger. Things only become worse when Keegan finds that if he does not stop the sorceress, the woman he loves, and all the known world, will come to a most undesired end.

Thus, he is forced into truly becoming what he has denied and avoided his whole life: the Dragon's Son.

Something(s) random

So, I have not posted in here for a week or so, and it was begining to upset me (Its scrallige to me, you know). Anyway, I decided to post anything about something that has been happening in everthing in my life lately. I will try to make it entertaining.

Well, I have a new, worthless obsession: Dragons of Atlantis on Facebook.

I really did not think I would like it (I hated Farmville because I had to babysit it ALL the time!), but it is just my kind of boring, fantasy, act-by-your-gut, kind of game. I get to build my city, raise dragons, create an army, go attack bad guys (without using any of my horrible stratagy), and all of that fun stuff. And I can do all of that WITHOUT babysitting it all the time. In other words: I can get up in the morning, click on a building, hit the 'upgrade' button, start training 100 troops, and attack some bad guys, then close out of it, shut down my computer, and do my buisness throughout the day knowing that the game is still doing its job. =D
And the really amazing thing about this is: I got my mom on it to! MWHAHAHA!! Now explain how that happened please??
Anyway, in my opinion, its all the bomb diggaty!

Here is a few pictures of my dragon(s) in the game. I have Sel'er, Corvath, Saipha, Glamdring, and Orcrist. They are all girls.

This is my dragon in the egg before it hatches. :)

This is my baby dragon after it hatches.

This is my dragon at Level 6. Half way grown!

And this is my dragon fully grown at level 8, 9, & 10!

I can hardly wait to get the armor for it!! :D

So anyway. Now that I have told you about my complete time waster, allow me to move on to another one of my obssesions and time wasters: Writing.

I like to write whatever pops into my head. Like this:

“You have a hysteric personality, ma'am.” The psychiatrist told me as he jotted down more notes in his notepad.
I raised my eyebrows and gave him a slightly confused expression.
“I think what you mean to say sir, is that I have a logical personalty.” I replied matter of factly.
He looked up at me through his thick eyeglasses and raise an eyebrow “Excuse me?” He said.
“Your excused. Don't worry, I do it all the time, but I cant hear when other people do it because I am 70% deaf.” I smiled, and his only reply was that of a shocked expression “And as for the 'logical personalty', I know I have one, because Mr. Bobo says so.” I continued.
“Mr. Bobo?” the psychiatrist asked with his grey eyes locked on me.
I raised my right forefinger and pointed at it with my left, then smiled “Yes. Mr. Bobo. He is the little man who lives in my finger.”
The psychiatrist stared at me for a long moment, then he looked at my finger, then back at me “Never mind. Your a nut.” He said with a shake of his head and he began to write on his note pad, as he had been doing for the past hour.
“That is what Mr. Bobo says too” I said as I lowered my hands to my lap “But he doesn't believe it. Neither do me.” I stopped and the psychiatrist looked at me with a wrinkled forehead and different sized eyes “I mean myself, I mean I...” I paused with slight confusion then added “I mean all of us.”
The dude stared at me with a worried expression on his face, which soon changed to a strange look of confusion as he looked at his notepad. He looked back up at me with an expression that seemed to say 'You're a carrier of the bubonic plague!' and he half stood up from his seat.

I immediately realized that I should leave the Doctor's office before he did...
****

Yeah....stupid things like that. I like to write them because...well...because their fun to write!! :D Anywhere I go, and no matter what I am doing, I always have time to imagine myself in strange possitions like that...how I made myself out to be such a nut in this......'scribbling', is beyond me though.

Well, I think I should stop writing now and get on with a few other things, like: editing my book, and- OH SNAP! Its 11:30 pm!! Maybe I should consider going to bed?? Naw. What sane person goes to bed at such an early hour?? Pssssssh! I still got 3 or 4 hours before its bed time! Plenty of time to work on my book. :)
